Cardboard Signs
In the beginning of “Rethink Homelessness” we were asked to write our perceptions of homelessness on a piece of cardboard. When looking through all of the perceptions, it is easy to see that no person has the same idea as the next person. This activity was a way to not only share our perceptions, but also develop them more fully. As we began to discuss the perceptions, two ideas were formed; one of the laziness and lack of effort from the homeless and the other on the homeless being victims of circumstance. Overall, the Cardboard Perceptions were a way for me to fully develop my thoughts and opinions on homelessness.
